No London theatre break is complete without a trip to Clapham. This laid-back café, right on the edge of Roath Park Lake is the perfect place to stop for a drink after strolling through the park. Books and boardgames are provided to entertain as you sip huge hot chocolates, and the massive fish tank is guaranteed to amuse even the most restless of youngsters. Small bikes and scooters are also welcome, and a range of hot snacks are on offer at affordable prices to satisfy those hungry tummies. When you’re done, head back to the giant playground or feed the ducks.

Coffee Tots, based in Coventry City Centre’s City Arcade, is a café with parents and young children in mind. Yellowave Bearfoot Café, Brighton
